It is a story of peasants who work the land from sunrise to sunset, sowing, reaping and harvesting the wheat, which will later be taken from their hands. It is a story of injustice, but also of resistance. Catarina is the heroine of this story because she lived a hard life, but did not lose her joy and the will to fight for a better world. She was born and died in the Alentejo region, confronted the powerful and never stopped singing.
